Activision Announces Cross-Game Progression for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

For the first time in the history of the Call of Duty franchise, Activision has announced that players will be able to carry forward all their purchased and unlocked content from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 into the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This includes Bundles and Operators. However, it is important to note that the content must exist in Modern Warfare 3 for it to be carried over.

Activision clarified that if Modern Warfare 3 does not have a specific piece of equipment or game mode, any skins unlocked for that equipment will not transfer between the two games. Additionally, Wartracks music will not be carried over as well.

In other news, Activision has begun its marketing campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. A new trailer was released earlier this week, confirming that Vladimir Makarov will be the primary antagonist in the game. Makarov previously appeared as the primary antagonist in the original Modern Warfare trilogy.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to be released on November 10.
