Ashfall Closed Beta to Begin on August 3rd

Ashfall, a post-apocalyptic MMORPG developed by NetEase, is set to begin its closed beta on August 3rd. The game will be available on both PC and mobile platforms. During the two-week closed beta, players will be immersed in a world devastated by nuclear war, caused by a rogue AI. As one of the survivors, players must navigate the harsh reality and embark on a mission to find the Core of Creation, which is believed to be the key to saving what remains of the world.

NetEase has drawn inspiration from Eastern cultures for Ashfall's post-apocalyptic setting. From the music to the architecture and the various monsters that inhabit the wasteland, these inspirations are evident throughout the game. The score for Ashfall will be co-produced by renowned composers Hans Zimmer, Steve Mazzaro, and Inon Zur, known for their work on popular series such as Fallout and Dragon Age.

In addition to the immersive setting, the closed beta will also highlight the game's story and worldbuilding. Players will have the opportunity to explore the world, interact with robots, find resources, craft their gear, and engage in combat with enemies. NetEase aims to offer a multiplayer experience for cross-play, allowing players to enjoy the game together or dive into the world solo.

Those interested in participating in the closed beta can sign up through the application provided by NetEase. The form includes options for players to choose their preferred platform (PC, mobile, or both) and provides additional information about the player. Ashfall's closed beta promises to provide an exciting and immersive experience in its post-apocalyptic world.
