Best Graphics Settings for Nvidia RTX 3090 and 3090 Ti in Starfield

Nvidia's RTX 3090 and 3090 Ti are powerful graphics cards that are capable of running the latest AAA titles with ease. While they may not match the performance of the newer RTX 4090, both of these GPUs provide enough horsepower to play Starfield, one of the most demanding titles, at 4K resolution with minimal compromises.

However, in order to ensure a smooth and optimal gaming experience in Starfield, it is necessary to tweak the graphics settings, even on the RTX 3090 and 3090 Ti.

For the RTX 3090, it is recommended to play Starfield at a 4K resolution. A combination of high and ultra settings works best for this game. With FSR 2 (FidelityFX Super Resolution 2) enabled, the RTX 3090 can easily maintain a smooth frame rate of 60+ FPS in most scenarios. The detailed settings for the RTX 3090 are as follows:

– Display: Borderless full screen, Window size: 3840 x 2160 (16:9), Select monitor: Primary monitor
– Dynamic resolution: Off, Render resolution scale: 100
– Graphics preset: Ultra
– Shadow quality: High, Indirect lighting: Ultra
– Reflections: High, Particle quality: High
– Volumetric lighting: High, Crowd density: High
– Motion blur: High, GTAO quality: Ultra
– Grass quality: Ultra, Contact shadows: Ultra
– Vsync: Off, Upscaling: FSR 2
– Sharpening: 75, Enable VRS: On
– Film grain intensity: Full, Enable depth of field: On

On the other hand, the RTX 3090 Ti offers even more rendering power with its higher core counts, faster clock speeds, and increased power draw. This allows gamers to push the graphics settings in Starfield even further without sacrificing performance. It is still recommended to use temporal upscaling with FSR 2 for the best experience. The graphics settings for the RTX 3090 Ti are similar to those of the RTX 3090.

Both the RTX 3090 and 3090 Ti are among the fastest GPUs available today and can handle most modern titles at the highest settings without any major issues. While performance in Starfield can vary, these previous-generation cards are more than capable of delivering a satisfactory gaming experience in this demanding game.
