Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield: Release Date and Preload Details

Bethesda Game Studios' highly anticipated game, Starfield, is set to be released on September 6 for Windows PC and Xbox Series X. However, an early-access period will begin on September 1. Both versions of the game will require a download size of well above 100 GB.

To ensure a smooth launch, Microsoft and Bethesda have announced that Starfield will be available for preload. The preload option for Xbox Series X (and S) will be available starting on August 17. The game will take up approximately 125 GB of storage space on Xbox platforms, which is a significant portion of the usable storage on an Xbox Series S SSD. Players who are short on space may want to consider a storage expansion card for their Xbox.

For PC players, the preload for Starfield will start on August 30. The game is expected to consume about 140 GB of storage space, based on its listing on Xbox.com. However, the system requirements listed on Steam indicate a 125 GB download size.

To play the PC version of Starfield, players will need a Windows 10 (version 21H1 or Windows 10/11 with updates) operating system. The minimum recommended processors are AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i7-6800K, while the recommended processors are AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel i5-10600K. The game also requires a minimum of 16 GB RAM and graphics cards such as AMD Radeon RX 5700 or Nvidia GeForce 1070 Ti. DirectX 12 is necessary, and 125 GB of available storage space is required. Additionally, players will need a broadband internet connection and an SSD.

With the release date quickly approaching, players can now prepare for their Starfield adventure by preloading the game on their preferred platform.
