Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Beta to Release First on PlayStation Consoles

Xbox and PC users will have to wait a little longer for the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 beta. Activision, the publisher of the game, has announced the release of the new Call of Duty sequel in November, with a beta preceding the full release. However, new reports suggest that the beta will be available on PlayStation consoles first.

According to a promotional post, the Modern Warfare 3 beta will be available on PS4 and PS5 five days earlier than on other platforms. The multiplayer test is expected to run from October 6 to October 10 on PlayStation consoles, followed by a second beta from October 12 to October 16 for all platforms.

Typically, pre-order customers have early access to the beta, with it becoming available to all fans later on. The beta tests usually include multiple multiplayer modes, maps, and exclusive rewards for participating.

While this news may disappoint Xbox and PC users, the exclusivity of PlayStation early access is likely to change once Microsoft completes its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. It is important to note that the release of Modern Warfare 3 on PS4 and Xbox One has already been confirmed, along with a release date of November 10.

Fans of the Call of Duty franchise can expect to get a better look at the game when Activision releases new gameplay footage on August 17. The publisher has also confirmed the return of the original Modern Warfare villain, Makarov, in this upcoming installment.
