Diablo 4 Set to Receive 1.1.4 Update Before Season 2 Begins

Diablo 4 players can expect a 1.1.4 update to drop before the start of the game's second season, confirmed by community lead Adam Fletcher. The upcoming update is set to introduce improvements and changes to the game, although the specifics have not yet been disclosed.

The patches released after Season 1 addressed some of the controversial alterations that were made to the game's progression and character classes. These changes created dissatisfaction among players, particularly regarding the nerfing of the Sorcerer and Barbarian classes. In response, the developers have made positive adjustments to the gameplay experience, including bug fixes and small enhancements, such as speeding up certain actions.

One of the recent updates, patch 1.1.3, focused on improving combat mechanics. It aimed to reduce frustration by decreasing the effects of enemy attacks that could leave the player character stunned, as well as toning down the damage caused by the death explosion of Fire Enchanted monsters. Additionally, the charge attack of the Blasted Corpsefiend was made less severe.

While the details of the 1.1.4 update have not been revealed, the developers have promised at least one change to the way Affixes are displayed on item tooltips in the upcoming Season of Blood. This modification will make it easier for players to compare random Affixes.

It is important to note that Activision Blizzard, the company behind Diablo 4, is currently facing legal actions and allegations of workplace harassment. As a responsible news outlet, Rock Paper Shotgun will continue to cover these issues alongside reporting on Activision Blizzard games.
