EA Sports WRC: A New Rally Racing Experience Coming to Xbox

Electronic Arts (EA) is set to release their first rally racing game, EA Sports WRC, in partnership with racing game experts, Codemasters. The game is scheduled for launch on November 3rd for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. Combining the power of the Unreal Engine and the physics of the DiRT Rally series, EA Sports WRC aims to deliver a realistic and immersive rally racing experience.

The game features 18 official FIA World Rally Championship locations with over 600km of challenging stages on various terrains such as asphalt, gravel, and snow. It also includes a wide selection of vehicles, including 10 current WRC, WRC2, and Junior WRC cars, as well as 68 iconic rally cars spanning 60 years of the sport.

Working closely with official WRC teams and manufacturers like Ford, Toyota, and Hyundai, each vehicle in EA Sports WRC is designed to handle the unique challenges faced in the sport. The game also introduces hybrid-powered 4WD Rally1 cars, which are some of the fastest in rally racing history, capable of achieving incredible speeds while navigating jumps, deteriorating surfaces, and adverse weather conditions.

EA and Codemasters have expanded the multiplayer functionality of the game, allowing up to 32 players to race against each other with full cross-play support. The addition of EA Racenet, an app that serves as a racing companion, offers community-built hubs called Clubs, where players can participate in custom multi-surface tournaments set in any location and time of the year. The game also includes daily updated in-game events called Moments, which allow players to relive iconic scenarios from the 2023 season and classic events from the sport's history.

With this new partnership, EA Sports WRC aims to provide rally racing fans with an engaging and competitive gaming experience. The absence of numbering in the title suggests a long-term commitment to the franchise. Excitement is building as players gear up to rally around on Xbox this November.
