EA SPORTS WRC Reveals Full Car List for World Rally Championship Game

The highly anticipated EA SPORTS WRC game has finally released its full car list, and it's being hailed as one of the greatest collections of time-based motorsport vehicles ever seen in a rally video game.

One noteworthy inclusion in the game is the 2017-specification Volkswagen Polo, which never actually competed in the sport. Following the Dieselgate scandal, the team withdrew from the championship despite having a complete car ready to go. This game is the first time fans will have the opportunity to experience this car on the virtual rally stages. Joining the Polo is the M-Sport-developed Ford Fiesta.

Another car that stands out is the Seat Córdoba WRC, which only achieved three podium finishes during its brief career in the World Rally Championship. Despite its lack of success, it was a fan favorite in the 2000 game Colin McRae Rally 2.0.

In addition to these cars, the game includes the current-specification Peugeot 208 and the surprising inclusion of the aged Renault Twingo. Other lesser-known rally cars from the past include the Opel Corsa S2000 and the Group A Mitsubishi Galant VR4.

The F2 Kit Cars class adds another level of excitement for rally enthusiasts. These cars were 2-liter high revving, wide-bodied front-wheel drive monsters, and the game includes the Seat Ibiza, Volkswagen Golf, and Peugeot 306. Joining them are the Renault Megane, Ford Escort, and Vauxhall Astra.

Overall, the game boasts a total roster of 78 cars, with the possibility of additional cars being added through post-release DLC.

This comprehensive car list offers a wide variety of vehicles representing different eras and classes in the world of rally. It's a dream come true for rally fans, who can now experience the thrill of driving these iconic cars on virtual stages.
