Epic Games Teased Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 4: A Moon-Eclipse Adventure

Epic Games, known for foreshadowing future events in Fortnite, teased the theme for Chapter 4 – Season 4 a few years ago. While the new season of the popular video game is fast approaching, it seems that no one noticed the hint until now.

Content creators received special gifts from the game developer, which hinted at the upcoming season's theme. But the first teaser for Chapter 4 – Season 4 was actually released back in December 2021, with the launch of Chapter 3. Surprisingly, the theme for the next season has been right in front of us for almost two years.

Fortnite players can look forward to a special in-game event at the Apparatus, where a moon eclipse will be witnessed. The event was released last week but has gone through several stages since then. The Apparatus telescope will play a crucial role in introducing players to Chapter 4 – Season 4, and the event will progress through a few more stages. It seems that the event's purpose is to create an escape plan, as the Last Reality is still present, and the loopers are searching for a way out. This suggests that they may visit the Ice Moon by the end of the chapter.

Ronin, a Legendary character from the Chapter 3 – Season 1 Battle Pass, has already given a hint about the next season's theme. Ronin's necklace features a moon, which clearly references Season 4. Interestingly, the moon in the necklace bears a striking resemblance to the moon sent to content creators by Epic Games. The loading screen “Ronin's Revenge” also hinted at the upcoming season. This loading screen, acquired from the same Battle Pass, showcased Mega City, a location that would later be added to the game. Ronin's presence strongly supports the speculation about the theme for the next season. However, we will have to wait a bit longer for an official confirmation.

Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 4 is scheduled to be released on Friday, August 25. More information is expected to be revealed before that date.
