Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach DLC Released for PC and PlayStation

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, the popular horror game, was released on December 16, 2021, for PC and PS4/PS5. The game later became available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Now, a new free story expansion called Ruin DLC has been released for the game, but only for PC and PlayStation.

The Ruin DLC aims to provide a darker and more dreadful experience compared to the base game and focuses on familiar elements from the franchise. While the DLC is currently only available for PC and PlayStation, the developer, Steel Wool Studios, plans to release it for Xbox and Nintendo Switch at a later date.

The decision to prioritize the release on specific platforms was made to give the developers more time and space to work on the game itself. Ryan McCaffrey, the executive producer, stated that it was important to focus on a few platforms initially.

Unfortunately, no release date has been announced yet for the Ruin DLC on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. However, the developer intends to support these versions in the future, similar to the core game.

For Xbox and Nintendo horror game fans, this news may be disappointing. Until the Ruin DLC becomes available on those platforms, players will need to play it on PS4, PS5, or PC. Alternatively, they can explore other horror games on Xbox and PC while they wait for the release of the DLC.
