Fortnite Boss Donald Mustard Retires from Epic Games

Donald Mustard, the Chief Creative Officer of Epic Games, has announced his retirement after seven years with the company. Mustard joined Epic Games in 2008 when the publisher acquired Chair Entertainment, a studio he co-founded. Although Chair Entertainment's last game was released in 2018, Mustard played a key role in transforming Fortnite into a hugely successful game.

In his farewell message on Twitter, Mustard expressed his pride in helping to shape Fortnite and his gratitude for the opportunity to work with talented people in the gaming industry. There is no information about Mustard's future career plans beyond leaving Epic Games, but he has received an outpouring of support from Fortnite fans who express their appreciation for his contributions to the community.

The retirement announcement comes shortly after the launch of Chapter 4 Season 4 of Fortnite. Mustard's departure leaves a void in Epic Games, and it will be interesting to see how the company continues its trajectory without its Chief Creative Officer.
