Fortnite: Chapter 4 – Season 4: Release Date and What to Expect

Fortnite: Chapter 4 – Season 4 is set to begin on Friday, August 25th, 2023, following the conclusion of Season 3. The game will go into downtime at 8 AM BST / 2 AM CT / 1 AM PT on the 25th and is expected to return with a brand new season around noon time in the UK and breakfast time in the US.

The upcoming season is rumored to have a heist or spy theme, similar to what was seen in Chapter 2. Epic Games has been teasing security-laser filled previews and showcasing some of the Battle Pass skins early to generate excitement among players. Content creators have also gotten glimpses of the new season and have discovered teasers for new items, including the return of Midas' Drum Gun.

New Points of Interest (POIs) are also expected to be introduced to the Fortnite island, such as Sanguine Suites and possibly an updated version of The Agency, Midas' old base of operations. The story for Season 4 remains a mystery, but players can anticipate the Apparatus, which Slone has shown interest in, to play a larger role throughout the season.

Season 4 is expected to be the final one in Chapter 4, following a trend of shorter chapters by Epic Games. While significant changes have been relatively scarce in this chapter, it would be surprising if Season 4 didn't feature any major events. Fans can likely expect the return of at least one member of The Seven.

In terms of duration, Season 4 is expected to last until early December, similar to its counterpart in Chapter 3. Epic Games will likely aim to maximize interest during the holiday season when children are on break from school.

Fortnite is a free-to-play game available on various platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
