Rumors have been circulating about a possible crossover between Fortnite and the popular anime series One Piece. While other anime collaborations have already made their way into the game, such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan, fans are still eagerly awaiting the arrival of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew.
The speculation began when Donald Mustard, the creative director of Fortnite, changed his Twitter location to “The Blue Ocean” and shared a video of himself standing in front of crashing waves. This led fans to theorize that a One Piece collaboration might be on the horizon.
Fortnite leaker HYPEX also added fuel to the fire with leaked images suggesting a jungle-tropical theme for the then-upcoming Season 3. Many believed that this setting would be the perfect backdrop for a One Piece crossover. However, when the new season arrived, it was the anime Jujutsu Kaisen that made its appearance.
Despite this, the possibility of One Piece joining Fortnite is still on the table. With the live-action adaptation of One Piece set to premiere on Netflix on August 31, there is speculation that a crossover could coincide with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 on August 25. This would serve as a great promotional opportunity for both Netflix and Epic Games.
While it is currently unknown whether only the original anime characters or the live-action adaptation characters will be included in the game, it seems likely that One Piece will eventually find its way to Fortnite, as all other major anime franchises have already been featured.
As fans eagerly await more information, any future teasers or announcements about a potential Fortnite x One Piece collaboration will be shared with the community.
