The upcoming major update for Forza Horizon 5, called Horizon Creatives, was recently unveiled in a livestream by developer Playground Games. The highlight of this update is the 2.0 upgrade to EventLab, a toolset that allows players to create and share custom levels, races, and more.
EventLab 2.0 brings exciting new features that enable players to bring their wildest ideas to life. It includes a brand-new set of tools, quality of life improvements, and features that make it easier and faster to create larger events. With multi-selection support, selecting props becomes much easier. Players can rotate, move, clone, or delete multiple items together, streamlining the level creation process. They can also save selections of multiple props as “prefabs” for later use, and even share them with other players through the Creative Hub menu.
One of the biggest additions in EventLab 2.0 is EventLab Island. This customizable platform, measuring 2km x 2km, is situated in the middle of the ocean and separate from the main map. It provides players with a higher prop budget, offering greater creative freedom and complexity compared to editing the standard world. EventLab Island can be accessed through a link in the world map.
In addition to these features, the update introduces new props for custom races, custom flyer creation capability for events, a larger event browser, weather and time of day condition settings, new rims and body parts for cars, and bug fixes.
Forza Horizon 5: Horizon Creatives will be available for free to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass players on September 12. Players who also play Forza Motorsport, developed by Turn 10 Studios and set to release soon, will receive the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray in Forza Horizon 5 as a bonus.
