GTA 6 Release Window Hinted by Take-Two CEO

In a recent interview with CNBC, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, dropped some hints about the highly anticipated release of GTA 6. Zelnick's comments about the “very robust pipeline of titles” and the expectations for net bookings in fiscal 2025 suggest that GTA 6 may be released around 2024 or 2025. This aligns with previous reports by industry journalist Jason Schreier.

Zelnick's optimism about Take-Two's future earnings is largely based on the success of GTA, which has been a cash cow for the company. Take-Two expects to generate approximately $8 billion in the given time frame, and GTA 6 is expected to play a significant role in achieving this goal.

The interview also hinted at other upcoming titles, such as Judas and the next BioShock game, which are expected to contribute to Take-Two's record-high net bookings. Zelnick's mention of “titles coming from all labels” indicates that Take-Two has many subsidiaries besides Rockstar that are responsible for successful games.

While Zelnick's comments provide some clarity about the release window of GTA 6, the actual release date is still uncertain. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement from Rockstar. However, with these hints and Zelnick's mention of a fiscal year in relation to GTA 6, it seems likely that the game will be released sometime between April 2024 and March 2025.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to exploring Vice City, a location rumored to be featured in the game. Inspired by the real-life city of Miami, Vice City promises to be an iconic setting for the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series.
