Hades 2: Release Date and Details Revealed

Supergiant Games has finally provided an update on Hades 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed game. The developer announced that Hades 2 will be released in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store in the second quarter of 2024, between April and June.

In a blog post, the developers explained the reason for the delay in the Early Access launch, stating that they want to ensure the game has a substantial amount of content upon release. They want to provide players with an experience that is worth their time, even though it is not yet complete. The original game had a successful Early Access period, and the developers aim to replicate that with Hades 2.

Before the Early Access launch, Supergiant will be conducting a technical test with a limited number of players. This test will help the developers gather feedback and make necessary refinements to the core content and gameplay of the game. They emphasized that the duration to reach version 1.0 of Hades 2 is still uncertain, as their primary focus is on building the core content.

Hades 2 will follow the story of Melinoë, the Princess of the Underworld and Zagreus' sister, as she embarks on a mission to save her father from Chronos, the Titan of Time. Throughout her journey, Melinoë will receive guidance from her mentor Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft, as well as various Olympian gods and heroes.

With the release of Hades 2 in Early Access, fans of the original game can look forward to experiencing new environments, characters, weapons, Boons, story events, and music. Players will have the opportunity to provide feedback and contribute to the development of the game as it progresses towards its full release.
