Check The Game Time On Minecraft

Luckily, you can check hours spent through the statistics tab. In each world, you can get statistics of hours used in playing and partaking in some activities.

The statistics show how long you did a specific activity or when developing some virtual worlds. All your data is always recorded. Therefore you won't miss out on any information. You can also configure it to see the time used in hours or days in the specific worlds.

Luckily, you can change into different worlds to see time used in the unique virtual worlds. Surprisingly, all the data is recorded.

1. How to Check Through the Statistics Tab View

It is not that easy to see the statistics tab. You can only see the statistics tab if you have the Java version of your PC or Mac. The tab has several advantages:

  • It provides time used in creating different virtual worlds
  • It provides time used to do other tasks.
  • It lets you know the time you have accessed each of the game activities
  • It lets you know how many times you launched a chest and interacted with villagers.

Steps To Open The Statistics Tab

Step 1: First, launch the Minecraft game, and click the ESCAPE button.

Step 2: This opens the game menu with different options.

3. How To Do The Minecraft Log Analysis

You can use the Minecraft Logs Analyzer tool to check the time used playing. The GitHub project captures the time by analyzing the game logs. The chat log starts and stops when you finalize the game.

The tool analyzes the logs generated by Minecraft and figures out your total playtime. The only limitation is that it only works on Windows. There are three modes that you will see; the automatic, enter the path and enter glob.

  • The automatic mode detects the logs in the normal Minecraft folder
  • The enter path mode allows you to enter your file paths and separate them.
  • The glob mode allows you to select multiple folders in a directory. Glob selects your path and other paths in the subdirectories.

Luckily, you can export the results in a .csv format that shows the hours per session.

Step 1: First, download the Logs Analyzer tool on Github.

Step 5: You can now check the total days played on Minecraft. It shows the specific date and time you played the games. (Every time you click the “play” button, it records the data.)

Step 6: Once done, export the statistics as a graph. You will see the hours spent per month.

You can then export your statistics as a graph. The graph features the number of hours used per month. Alternatively, download it as a CSV file.

Evaluate the time spent and see whether your playing habits are okay. However, that shouldn’t stop you from playing.
