Indie Developer Free Range Games and North Beach Games to Release Co-op Survival Crafting Game

Free Range Games, an indie developer, and North Beach Games, a publisher, have come together to create a new co-op survival crafting game titled “The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.” The game is set to be released on October 24th and will be available on Sony's PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via the Epic Games Store. A physical release for PlayStation 5 is scheduled for December 5th. Additionally, the game will be released on Xbox Series X/S in early 2024.

“The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria” is centered around the Dwarves of J.R.R. Tolkien's world, and its storyline takes players on a mission to reclaim their homeland in the Mines of Moria during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth. Players will have the option to customize their own Dwarf character and explore the mines either alone or with others online.

As a survival crafting game, players will need to utilize the Dwarves' inventive skills to create armor and weapons that are capable of battling the various enemies that reside within the labyrinthine mine. The game promises an immersive experience that combines elements of survival, co-op, and crafting.

The announcement of the release date comes in the wake of the debut of a story trailer for the game during Summer Game Fest. This trailer provides viewers with a glimpse into the rich world of Tolkien's imagination and sets the stage for the epic adventure that awaits players.
