Luminosity Partners with UltRank to Provide Smash Ultimate Rankings for Mid-Year 2023

Smash Ultimate is continuing to gain popularity in the esports community with tournaments such as GOML 2023, Ultimate Summit 6, and Smash Factor X attracting a large viewership. As the game's meta evolves and these tournaments take place, professional players are steadily being ranked based on their performance throughout the year.

In a recent announcement, the gaming and esports brand Luminosity Gaming revealed a partnership with pro-player ranking group UltRank. This collaboration aims to provide “definitive” rankings for the top 50 Smash Ultimate players for Mid-Year 2023. Luminosity made the announcement on Twitter, stating that they are joining forces with UltRank to form LumiRank. The company emphasized that LumiRank will continue to offer the same ranking content loved by the community, but with increased support from Luminosity.

Luminosity also released a blog post introducing LumiRank Mid-Year 2023, which they claim to be the definitive ranking of the top 50 Smash Ultimate players worldwide for the first half of 2023. The rankings will be gradually unveiled over the course of the week leading up to Super Smash Con 2023. Fans can expect to see the rankings released according to the following schedule:

– #50 – #41: Monday, August 7th, 2023
– #40 – #31: Tuesday, August 8th, 2023
– #30 – #21: Wednesday, August 9th, 2023
– #20 – #11: Thursday, August 10th, 2023
– #10 – #1: Thursday, August 10th, 2023 (LIVE @ Super Smash Con 2023)
