Mankey Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO

Today is Mankey Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO, part of the Adventures Abound season. From 6-7 PM tonight, Mankey will appear more frequently in the wild. It will also be more responsive to Incense and may even show up in spawn points that are usually inactive. To make the most of the Incense buff, players will have to get out and walk. This is the second Spotlight Hour of September 2023.

During the Mankey Spotlight Hour, players will have the opportunity to catch a Shiny Mankey. The Shiny version of Mankey has light green fur instead of the usual off-white/tan color. It's worth noting that there is a new evolution of Primeape called Infernape in the Paldea region. Although Infernape has not been released yet, the previous Spotlight Hours were themed around Paldea, suggesting the possibility of an upcoming release.

As a bonus for the Mankey Spotlight Hour, players will receive double Candy for catching Pokémon. No items are required to take advantage of this bonus; players simply have to catch and enjoy.

In addition to the Mankey Spotlight Hour, there are other exciting events happening in Pokémon GO in September 2023. On September 19th, there will be a Venonat Spotlight Hour with double XP for catching. On September 26th, there will be a Tentacool Spotlight Hour with double Stardust for catching. Both of these Pokémon also have the chance to appear as Shiny.

For Tier Five raids this month, Kartana will appear in the Southern Hemisphere and Celesteela in the Northern Hemisphere from September 8th to September 16th. From September 16th to September 23rd, players can challenge a Shiny Burn Drive Genesect. And from September 23rd to October 6th, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou will be available in raids, and they also have the chance to appear as shiny variants. Additionally, throughout the season, Shadow Zapdos will be in Shadow Raids on Saturdays and Sundays.

Make sure to mark your calendars for the Raid Hours in September. On September 13th, Kartana will be available in the Southern Hemisphere and Celesteela in the Northern Hemisphere. On September 20th, players can battle the Shiny Burn Drive Genesect. And on September 27th, there will be Raid Hour featuring Entei, Suicune, and Raikou, all of which can be shiny.
