Modding wizard Halk Hogan, famous for his exceptional graphical HD Reworked mods for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, is now setting his sights on Bethesda's newly released sci-fi RPG, Starfield. Although the game has only been out for a few days, Hogan has already announced that the first version of the Starfield HD Reworked mod is not far from being released.
Hogan explained his decision to create the mod on YouTube, stating, “Due to the often visible low-resolution textures, I decided to create a new HD Reworked Project for Starfield, to improve the visual experience of the game.” He emphasized that his project strives to achieve the highest quality of textures while maintaining optimum performance and video memory usage. Although the modification is in the early stages of development, the first release is expected soon.
Fans of CD Projekt's fantasy worlds will also be pleased to know that Hogan is simultaneously working on the HDRP NextGen Edition for The Witcher 3 and HDRP 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077. More information about these projects will be shared in the near future.
Hogan has proven himself in the modding community with his previous work. The HD Reworked project for The Witcher 3 was so impressive that CD Projekt included it in the “next-gen” update of the game in 2022. Similarly, his Cyberpunk 2077 version enhances the visuals of Night City to an unprecedented level. While the Starfield HD Reworked mod primarily focuses on improving the textures of interstellar scenery, the enhancements are quite dramatic in some cases.
Unfortunately, there is no information available yet regarding the hardware requirements necessary to fully experience the Starfield HD Reworked mod. However, considering Hogan's attention to quality, it is safe to assume that a powerful setup will be recommended. Further details are expected, and any updates will be provided in due course.
