Mortal Kombat 1 Early Access Begins on September 14th for Premium and Kollector’s Editions

Mortal Kombat 1, the highly anticipated fighting game, is set to release in just over two weeks. However, players who opt for the Premium or Kollector's Editions of the game will have the opportunity to play it even earlier. The exact start date and time for the early access period have now been revealed.

Those who pre-order the Premium or Kollector's Editions will gain access to the game five days ahead of the official release on September 14th. The early access period will begin at 10 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. CDT / 1 p.m. EDT. This early access opportunity also applies to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

In addition to the early access, the Premium Edition offers players a range of additional content for an increased price of $110 USD. This includes the Kombat Pack 1, providing one week early access to new characters, as well as 1,250 Dragon Krystals for in-game currency.

For those who opt for the even more extravagant Kollector's Edition priced at $250, it includes all the content of the Premium Edition along with exclusive collectibles such as a 16.5″ tall Liu Kang statue, an exclusive Liu Kang costume color, a steelbook case, and 2,700 Dragon Krystals.

The recent Steam store update has also indicated that PC players will have access to cross-platform play for the first time in the Mortal Kombat series. This feature may be available from the game's launch.

Dragon Krystals, the in-game currency, can be used to purchase cosmetic items such as skins, colors, gear, and possibly taunts and Brutalities. It provides players with the opportunity to customize their characters to their liking.

Furthermore, the Kombat Pack 1 will introduce a range of new playable characters, including Ermac, Quan Chi, Takeda, Invincible's Omni-Man, The Boys' Homelander, DC's Peacemaker, and five new Kameo Fighters. Additionally, those who pre-order the game will receive Shang Tsung as an additional roster member.

Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled for official release on September 19th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Keep an eye out for more coverage as we approach the highly anticipated launch.
