Mortal Kombat 1 Leak Suggests Ghostface May Feature in Kombat Pack 2 DLC

Recently, datamined dialogue lines have hinted at the possibility of Ghostface, the iconic villain from the Scream franchise, appearing as a character in the Kombat Pack 2 DLC for Mortal Kombat 1. While NetherRealm Studios and WB Games have already announced the six characters that will be included in Kombat Pack 1, fans are speculating about the potential additions in the second pack.

The datamine, conducted by Twitter user Ghostface_4_MK1, uncovered incomplete dialogue lines that seem to refer to Ghostface joining the MK1 roster. The lines, shared by Interloko, include references to Ghostface's trademark mask and knife, as well as a quote from Omni-Man stating, “F**k movies. Nothing beats a good book.” This quote strongly alludes to Ghostface's obsession with horror movies, a central theme in the Scream franchise.

While these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, they have sparked excitement among Mortal Kombat fans. In addition to the already announced characters, such as Ermac, Quan Chi, and Takeda, rumors suggest that characters like Deathstroke, Doom Slayer, and Harley Quinn might also join the fight in Kombat Pack 2.

It's important to note that NetherRealm has not confirmed any DLC plans beyond Kombat Pack 1. However, if the leaks turn out to be accurate, the post-launch support for Mortal Kombat 1 could become even more thrilling for players.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to release on September 19 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Fans eagerly await more information about the DLC and potential character additions in the future.
