NetherRealm Studios has revealed that they will be hosting one last Kombat Kast before the highly anticipated release of Mortal Kombat 1. The live show is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 13, at 10 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. CDT. While the studio has not confirmed the focus of the stream, there are speculations about what fans can expect.
One possibility is the return of Nitara, a character who was portrayed by Megan Fox in MK1. Apart from Nitara, fans are eager to see more gameplay breakdowns for characters like Mileena, Raiden, Reptile, Havik, Tanya, and Shang Tsung. Additionally, there may be a showcase of the new single-player Invasion mode, although it is unlikely that much of the story will be revealed.
The previous Kombat Kasts covered various aspects of the game, including the new Kameo system and specific characters such as Scorpion, Johnny Cage, and Smoke. The upcoming Kombat Kast will be streamed on the official NetherRealm Twitch channel and is expected to last approximately one hour.
While this may be the final show before the game's release, fans can look forward to more content in the following months. The Kombat Pack 1, which includes additional characters, is scheduled to be released after the initial launch.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be available early on September 14 for players who pre-order the Premium or Kollector's Editions. The game will officially launch on September 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
