New Add-ons and Releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Third-party developers have been making exciting announcements and releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator, adding more content and enhancing the gameplay experience for players. Here are some of the highlights:

Horizon Simulations

Horizon Simulations provided an update on its freeware Boeing 787-900, which has now entered the internal beta phase. While there is still some work to be done on the model, the major roadblocks have been overcome. The liveries are being worked on and will be provided in a separate package to keep the download size of the main aircraft low. The official paint kit will be released ahead of the aircraft's official launch, allowing painters to customize the liveries.

Beautiful Model of the World & AmSim

The developers are working on Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (KMSP), one of the busiest airports in the US. A single screenshot was shared, featuring a unique mural of Prince that was added to the airport in 2020 to celebrate the Minneapolis-native artist. This airport will undoubtedly be a welcome addition for many players.

WF Scenery Studio

WF Scenery Studio showcased new screenshots of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (ZGGG) in China. These screenshots give players a glimpse of the detailed and realistic airport environment that they can expect.

Magsoft

Tijuana International Airport (MMTJ) in Mexico has finally been released by Magsoft. The airport features native PBR models, animated jetways, detailed hangars and terminal buildings, dynamic lighting, and more. Players can now explore this major airport in Mexico's bustling city.

MK Studios

MK Studios released Kangerlussuaq Airport (BGSF) in Greenland, which includes four smaller airports: Sisimiut (BGSS), Maniitsoq (BGMQ), Qaarsut (BGUQ), and Aasiaat (BGAA). Players can enjoy the lifelike recreation of Kangerlussuaq Airport, custom satellite imagery, realistic lighting, and other immersive features.

Burning Blue Design

Wickenby Airfield (EGNW) in Lincolnshire, UK, has been released by Burning Blue Design. This small and rural airfield comes with over 90 custom 3D objects, full custom night lighting, animated hangar doors and main gate, and other realistic details. It also features real-life static aircraft and enhanced local surroundings, adding to the authenticity of the airfield.

These new add-ons and releases demonstrate the commitment of third-party developers to continually enhance the Microsoft Flight Simulator experience. Whether players are flying in major international airports or exploring small rural airfields, there is always something new to discover and enjoy in the world of flight simulation.
