Genvid Technologies and Konami have unveiled a new piece of concept art for their upcoming interactive show, Silent Hill: Ascension. The concept art, showcased during IGN Japan’s livestream at Tokyo Game Show 2023, provides a glimpse into the terrifying world that players will encounter.
Silent Hill: Ascension is a narrative-driven cloud streaming experiment that offers a branching choice experience. Players will have the opportunity to shape the outcome of the story through collective decisions made via the stream's chat. This unique approach allows the fanbase to create their own Silent Hill canon.
The game will follow different characters from various locations who find themselves haunted by new and horrifying monsters from the Silent Hill universe. These creatures pose a threat to both the individuals and their children, as they struggle with the darkness fueled by recent murders and buried secrets. Players will have the power to determine who survives and who succumbs to the horrors.
Developed in collaboration between Konami, Genvid Technologies, and JJ Abrams' Bad Robot Productions, Silent Hill: Ascension is set to release sometime in 2023. The game was announced during Konami's Silent Hill Transmission showcase in October 2022, alongside other exciting projects like the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill: Townfall, Silent Hill f, and a new movie.
