Nintendo Announces New DLC and Surprises for Pokémon Games

Nintendo has recently made a series of exciting announcements that have left players shocked and delighted. From giveaways for Nintendo Switch players to surprises for upcoming games, there is plenty to look forward to.

One of the biggest announcements is the upcoming DLC for Pokémon games. The DLC, known as The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero, will bring back starter Pokémon from every region. This means that fans will have the opportunity to catch all of the starter Pokémon from previous games. In total, there will be 24 Pokémon, each belonging to the Fire-, Water-, or Grass-type.

Some starters have already been introduced through limited-time raids, but after the DLC is released, players will have a chance to catch any Pokémon they may have missed out on. Additionally, the DLC will introduce Smeargle, a unique Pokémon that can learn any move in the game.

Alongside the DLC announcement, Nintendo also revealed more exciting features for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. Players can expect new moves, including Thunderclap, a powerful Electric-type move with priority. Another move, Upper Hand, will take priority over other priority moves, while Psychic Noise will prevent healing.

The announcement also showcased two new Paradox Pokémon: Surging Bolt and Iron Crown. Surging Bolt, believed to be the ancient form of Raikou, will be a Dragon-/Electric-type. This has sparked speculation about the possibility of an ancient Entei with the Fire-/Dragon-type. Iron Crown, on the other hand, is the future Cobalion and will be a Steel-/Psychic-type. This has led players to anticipate a future Terrakion with the Rock-/Psychic-type.

Last but not least, Nintendo teased the introduction of a new 19th Tera type, although details about how it works have not yet been revealed.

With these exciting announcements, Pokémon players have even more reasons to be excited about upcoming updates and releases for their favorite games.
