NZXT H1 v2: A Great Small Form Factor PC Case

The NZXT H1 v2 is an impressive small form factor PC case that offers a combination of style, usability, and performance. Despite its initial high price point and a manufacturing defect in the V1 model, the H1 v2 has now become more accessible, particularly with the recent deal at Best Buy where it is available for $200, half its usual price.

This Mini ITX case is equipped with a 750W SFX power supply, a 140mm AiO cooler, and a top fan, making it a good value for the price. The case offers ample space to accommodate high-grade components, such as the Asus ROG Strix RTX 3090, with support for two-slot GPUs up to 324mm long and 58mm thick.

One of the standout features of the NZXT H1 v2 is its straightforward installation process. With most of the fiddly bits preinstalled, users simply need to install their Mini ITX motherboard, CPU, RAM, and storage, and then place it inside the case. The AiO cooler can be easily screwed down, and a few cables need to be plugged in. Inserting the graphics card is a breeze thanks to the removable panels on every face. The absence of complicated AiO configuration, fan placement, and PSU cable routing is a definite advantage.

Once the H1 v2 is assembled, it offers both an appealing appearance and efficient performance. The glass front panel might not provide the best thermals, but the bottom-to-top cooling system effectively prevents thermal throttling, even with high-end components. The conveniently located top I/O panel adds to the case's overall usability, while the rear I/O panel underneath ensures a tidy look.

If you're in the market for a small form factor case, it is worth considering the NZXT H1 v2. While there may be smaller and cheaper options available, this case stands out for its combination of style, usability, and performance.
