PlayStation Plus Essential Games for October Leaked: The Callisto Protocol and Farming Simulator 22

According to reliable leaker Billbil-kun, two of the three games included in October's PlayStation Plus Essential offerings have been leaked ahead of the official announcement from Sony. The leaked games are The Callisto Protocol and Farming Simulator 22.

The Callisto Protocol, which was released in December of last year, will be made available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in the Essential tier. This offers a cheaper alternative for players who haven't purchased the game yet.

Sales of The Callisto Protocol were below expectations for publisher Krafton, leading to layoffs of 32 employees at developer Striking Distance in August. The lukewarm reception to the game prompted the departure of Striking Distance founder Glen Schofield from the company.

Sony is expected to announce the full lineup of October's monthly games for PlayStation Plus soon. In the meantime, players can refer to the PS Plus games guide for a list of currently available games on the service.

– PlayStation Plus: A subscription service for PlayStation console owners that offers monthly free games, exclusive discounts, and online multiplayer features.
– The Callisto Protocol: A video game released in December of last year, known for its horror and survival elements.
– Farming Simulator 22: A simulation game that allows players to experience the life of a modern farmer.
