Pokémon Collaborates with Van Gogh Museum for Special Event

The Pokémon Company has announced a collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to celebrate the museum's 50th anniversary. The collaboration aims to introduce young artists to the work of Vincent van Gogh and teach people about the artist's deep admiration for Japanese art.

The Van Gogh Museum and The Pokémon Company have designed a special event that will provide visitors with a unique and refreshing experience. On-site activations will guide museum-goers through a curated selection of Van Gogh's paintings, accompanied by insights into the stories behind each artwork. Additionally, an online exploration of Van Gogh's fascination with Japanese culture will be made available.

One of the highlights of this collaboration is the release of a special promo card featuring Pikachu wearing a grey felt hat, inspired by Van Gogh's iconic style. Although the card will be available for in-person pickup at the museum, it will also be included in orders from a special Pokémon Center collection.

The Pokémon x Van Gogh Museum collaboration will run from September 28th to January 7th, 2024. Tickets for general admission to the museum, which can only be purchased online, are currently available.

This unique partnership between Pokémon and the Van Gogh Museum aims to engage children, art enthusiasts, and Pokémon fans alike in a delightful celebration of art and culture. It offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the inspiring connection between the worlds of Pokémon and Van Gogh.
