Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour Schedule for August 2023

Niantic, the company behind Pokémon Go, has announced the lineup for the August 2023 Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour. Trainers can expect a month of increased encounters and bonuses with Pokémon like Paras, Stufful, and Venonat taking center stage.

The Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour is a weekly event where a specific Pokémon spawns more frequently for an hour. During this time, trainers can capture the Pokémon at a higher rate and receive a special bonus. It's an excellent opportunity for trainers to expand their Pokédex and collect more Candy for evolution.

In addition to the Spotlight Hours, there will also be a Community Day dedicated to Froakie on August 13th. These events aim to bring trainers together to catch, evolve, and battle with their favorite Pokémon.

Here is the schedule for the August Spotlight Hour:

– August 1: Vulpix will be featured from 6 PM to 7 PM with a double XP bonus for evolving Pokémon.
– August 8: Paras will appear from 6 PM to 7 PM with a 2x Stardust bonus for catching Pokémon.
– August 15: Stufful will be the spotlight Pokémon from 6 PM to 7 PM, and trainers will receive double XP for catching Pokémon.
– August 22: Venonat will take the spotlight from 6 PM to 7 PM, accompanied by a 2x Candy bonus for catching Pokémon.
– August 29: Tentacool will be the featured Pokémon from 6 PM to 7 PM, and trainers will receive a 2x Candy bonus for transferring Pokémon.

To make the most of the upcoming Venonat Spotlight Hour, trainers should prepare by stocking up on Poké Balls, Berries, and ensuring there is enough space in their Pokémon Storage Box. Using items like Incense, Lucky Eggs, or Star Pieces during the Spotlight Hours can also boost XP and Stardust gains.

During Spotlight Hours, the featured Pokémon spawns more frequently, increasing the chances of encountering a shiny variant. Trainers can use Incense and explore different areas to maximize their chances of finding a shiny Pokémon. It's important to engage with each Pokémon encountered and continue the search if a shiny isn't found.

Spotlight Hours occur every Tuesday from 6 PM to 7 PM in the local time zone. They provide an excellent opportunity for trainers to catch specific Pokémon and gain additional bonuses.
