Rapper Gunplay Arrested for Allegedly Pointing Gun at Wife

Rapper Richard Morales Jr., also known as Gunplay, was arrested in Miami over the weekend after allegedly pointing an AK-47 at his wife's chest. The incident occurred during an argument, in which Morales reportedly threatened to harm his wife. He is now facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and child abuse.

Gunplay, a member of the hip-hop group Triple C's and a star on the reality show “Love & Hip Hop Miami,” has gained notoriety for his music and appearances on television. However, this recent incident has shed light on a darker side of the rapper's life.

According to his wife Vonshae Taylor-Morales, Gunplay has been struggling with substance abuse issues and a drinking problem. She explained in an Instagram post that the argument escalated when she asked him to quiet down while playing a video game. Gunplay became aggressive and began throwing glass cups and bottles at her, endangering their child who was nearby.

During the altercation, Gunplay allegedly picked up an AK-47 and threatened his wife with it, stating that he would harm her. Eventually, he put the rifle down, and Taylor-Morales hid it in their luggage. She managed to escape the house when Gunplay went into the hallway.

Taylor-Morales plans to file for divorce, recognizing that her husband needs to address his personal demons on his own. Gunplay has bonded out of jail but is currently on house arrest, with restrictions on contacting his wife.

Unfortunately, this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking help for substance abuse and domestic violence issues. It is essential to address these problems before they escalate and cause harm to oneself and others.
