Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare Now Available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4

Rockstar Games has released the highly anticipated Western adventure game, Red Dead Redemption, and its zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Developed by Double Eleven Studios, the games can be purchased digitally for $49.99 through the Nintendo Store and PlayStation Store, with physical releases coming soon. They are also currently available for Xbox on the Microsoft Store.

Red Dead Redemption allows players to relive or experience for the first time the story of former outlaw John Marston, set in the events after the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2. The game also includes the Undead Nightmare expansion, which adds a spooky twist to the Western genre as Marston fights hordes of zombies and searches for a cure.

The conversions of Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare were specifically crafted for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Both games are showcased at a framerate of 30 FPS and up to 1080p resolution on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. On the PlayStation 4 Pro, they can be played at up to 4K resolution, and on the PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility, they are available in full 4K.

In addition to the main games, the package includes bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. Players can enjoy weapons such as the classic Tomahawk, Explosive Rifle, and Golden Guns, as well as outfits such as the Savvy Merchant and Expert Hunter. Red Dead Redemption also features Hardcore mode and Trophy support on the PlayStation 4, and in-game achievements on the Nintendo Switch.

The games now support new language options, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Latin American Spanish, in addition to all previously supported languages. Red Dead Redemption is rated M for Mature by the ESRB.
