Sentinels Reportedly Sign johnqt as IGL for VCT 2024 Season

The Sentinels Valorant team is making moves during the off-season to improve their chances of making it to the playoffs. According to reports, the team has reached a verbal agreement to sign Mouhamed ‘johnqt' Ouarid as their in-game leader (IGL) for the VCT 2024 season. This news comes as other teams also begin making roster changes and signing new players.

Johnqt previously played for M80 during the 2023 VCT season and had a significant impact on the team's performance in the North American Challengers League and Americas Ascension. As the team's IGL, johnqt led M80 to impressive records in Split 1 and Split 2 of the Challengers League and even secured a Mid-Season Face Off trophy.

Although M80 was unable to secure a promotion to VCT Americas, they showed promise and released their Valorant players from their contracts to give them an opportunity to sign with teams in the top tier. This move has now led to johnqt joining the Sentinels, a respected and high-performing team in need of a strong in-game caller.

During the 2023 season, the Sentinels had two different IGLs but failed to achieve notable success. They lost their only international tournament match at VCT LOCK//IN to Fnatic and finished seventh in the VCT Americas regular season, missing the playoffs. The team ended the season with a fourth-place finish in the VCT Americas LCQ tournament, falling short of qualifying for Valorant Champions 2023.

The addition of johnqt as their new IGL, along with the reported re-signing of Tyson ‘TenZ' Ngo, signifies the Sentinels' determination to make a comeback in the 2024 season and secure a spot on the international stage once again. Fans will be eagerly watching as the team continues to make changes and work towards their goal of playoff success.
