Shortened Trial for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass

Microsoft has recently made a change to the trial length of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The $1 trial, which previously provided one month of access to the subscription, now only lasts for 14 days. This change has already gone into effect and can be seen on Microsoft's website for joining Xbox Game Pass.

The $1 trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gained popularity as a way for people to convert Xbox Live Gold into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a minimal cost. This option is not affected by the recent change in trial length, but Microsoft did modify it earlier this year. Instead of a 1:1 ratio, the exchange now has a 3:2 ratio.

It's important to note that the shortened trial period only applies to new subscribers who have never held a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. For those who are interested in trying out the service, they will have 14 days to experience the benefits before deciding whether to continue.

It is worth mentioning that Xbox Live Gold will be replaced by Xbox Game Pass Core on September 14, 2023. While Xbox Game Pass Core provides access to various titles, Starfield is not included.

The $1 trial for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has made headlines this year, as Microsoft temporarily ended the offer before raising the prices of its Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. However, the tech giant eventually brought back the $1 trial, allowing gamers an affordable way to try out the gaming subscription service.

Unfortunately, for those hoping to use the $1 trial to play Starfield for a month, they will have to pay the full price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. Nevertheless, even the regular price of these subscriptions is still less than the retail price of Starfield.
