Sledgehammer Games Introduces New Gameplay Features in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Sledgehammer Games is gearing up to release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 later this year, and fans are in for a treat. In a recent gameplay demo video, the game's developers showcased a major break from the traditional Call of Duty formula. For the first time, players will have the freedom to complete campaign missions using different strategies, including stealth, all-out assault, or a combination of both. This sandbox approach to gameplay is a significant departure from the linear level design that the franchise is known for.

The video takes us back to the familiar location of Verdansk, where a Spec Ops group is on a mission to infiltrate a prison and break someone out. Although the identity of the captive remains a mystery, fans speculate that it could be Vladimir Makirov based on a previous live-action cinematic.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to release on November 10, but eager players will have the opportunity to gain early access to the campaign one week prior to the official launch. Additionally, there will be a beta period in early October, with PlayStation players getting a chance to play as early as October 6/7.

This latest installment in the Call of Duty series promises a fresh and dynamic gaming experience. Players can expect a more flexible and immersive campaign mode, offering a variety of gameplay options to suit individual preferences. The introduction of this sandbox technique has been warmly received by fans who have long called for innovations in the franchise.
