Sonic Superstars Release Date and PC Requirements Announced

Sega has revealed new details about their upcoming game Sonic Superstars, which was announced earlier this year at the Summer Game Fest 2023. The game is a modern take on the classic Sonic side-scrolling platformers, featuring a reimagination in 3D. During Gamescom 2023, Sega announced the release date of the game, setting it for October 17th.

Sonic Superstars will be set in Northstar Islands and allow players to take control of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose as they navigate through various levels and face off against iconic bosses like Dr. Eggman and Fang. Additionally, the game will introduce a “mysterious new adversary” to challenge players.

The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. Sega has also provided the minimum and recommended PC requirements for the game. These include a Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system, an Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD FX-8350 processor (minimum), and an Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor (recommended), among other specifications.

Sonic Superstars will be released in both digital and physical editions. The Deluxe Edition includes additional content such as a digital artbook, mini original soundtrack, and an extra content pack with exclusive skins and wallpapers. Both the Standard and Deluxe Editions are available for pre-order, with a LEGO Eggman in-game skin bonus included.

While the game is available for pre-order in many regions, fans in India will need to wait for pre-orders to go live in their country. Sega has not provided a specific date for when this will happen.

Overall, Sonic Superstars promises to be an exciting new addition to the Sonic franchise, combining the beloved 2D gameplay with updated visuals and a fresh take on the series' iconic characters. Fans can look forward to its release on October 17th and experience the fast-paced action for themselves.
