Priced at $200, the PlayStation Portal is now available for pre-order in the US through various retailers such as Amazon, GameStop, and Sony's PlayStation Direct store. UK customers can also purchase it from Amazon, Game, and PlayStation Direct.

The PlayStation Portal is not a standalone gaming device but rather works in conjunction with Remote Play, requiring a PS5 to wirelessly stream games from. The PlayStation Portal's key features are as follows:

2. Play Your Game Collection: Compatible games installed on the PS5 console can be played using the PlayStation Portal. This includes both PS5 and PS4 games.

3. Experience Breathtaking Immersion with DualSense Wireless Controller Features: Supported games provide an immersive experience through haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

4. Beautiful 8” LCD Screen: The PlayStation Portal boasts a vibrant and detailed full HD screen, allowing players to enjoy their favorite games with every exquisite detail.

5. 60fps Capable at 1080p Resolution: Delivering smooth gameplay at up to 60fps, the PlayStation Portal ensures high image clarity on its 1080p resolution screen.

Pre-orders for the PlayStation Portal are currently underway, with the device set to be available on November 15. While the price may be a deterrent for some, the device presents an enticing option for those who desire the flexibility of playing AAA games on the go or in unconventional gaming settings.
