Sony’s Horizon Forbidden West Coming to PC in 2023

Sony is set to bring its critically-acclaimed PS5 sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, to PC in early 2023. The PC port is being handled by Nixxes Software, a company acquired by Sony in 2021 known for its successful PC ports of the Spider-Man games.

Unlike a standard port, Horizon Forbidden West on PC will be released as the Complete Edition, offering enhanced features and additional content. Along with the base game, players can expect the Burning Shores DLC, a digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, a comic book, and various in-game items.

The PC release of Horizon Forbidden West will be available on both the Steam and Epic Games Store platforms. Although a specific release date has not been announced, PC players can already add the game to their wishlists on both stores.

The PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West is set to launch on October 6 at a price of $70. However, the PC version will arrive sometime in early 2023, giving PC players the opportunity to experience this highly-praised title.

Horizon Forbidden West was lauded for its enjoyable underwater traversal mechanics, new power-ups, and expansive open world. It received acclaim upon its original release, being described as a “triumph in many ways.” PC players can anticipate a similar level of quality and enjoyment from the forthcoming PC port.

While it is uncertain whether the game will be compatible with the Steam Deck, PC enthusiasts are hopeful for a smooth and optimized experience. With the successful performance of Marvel's Spider-Man on PC, there is optimism that Horizon Forbidden West will also run well on PC platforms.
