Tencent’s Timi Studio Group Reviving Delta Force Franchise with New Game

Tencent's Timi Studio Group has announced that it is bringing back the beloved first-person shooter franchise, Delta Force. Development is currently underway for a new installment in the series, which will be available for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. The game is set to be fully revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

An early teaser glimpse of the game was given to IGN, featuring a chat with producer Shadow Guo. Guo revealed that the new installment will feature a campaign mode inspired by the movie Black Hawk Down. Players can expect authentic and thrilling battles from the film, as the team behind the game has extensively studied the movie and its historical context. Their research aims to recreate an immersive gaming experience that captures the essence of that monumental event.

In addition to the campaign mode, the new Delta Force game will also include a large-scale multiplayer Player vs. Player (PVP) mode with a player count surpassing 32. The combat will take place across land, air, and sea, reminiscent of the Battlefield series.

Delta Force was originally developed by Novalogic, a Californian studio. The series debuted in 1998 with the first game for PC, followed by several sequels over the next decade, concluding with Delta Force: Xtreme 2 in 2009. The events of Black Hawk Down were previously explored in the 2003 shooter Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.

Fans of the Delta Force franchise can look forward to a comprehensive reveal of the new game during Gamescom Opening Night Live. Tune in for an in-depth look at the gameplay and features of this highly anticipated revival.
