The highly anticipated collaboration between Fortnite and WWE has been in the works for some time now. It has been revealed that the new Outfits will be added to the Fortnite Item Shop on August 17, 2023. However, before the official unveiling by Epic Games, leakers and data-miners have managed to get hold of the in-game assets.
Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch each have their own unique Outfits with four different Styles to choose from. Along with the skins, players can also expect two Back Blings, two Pickaxes, and one Emote. While the cosmetic items are generally well-received, there are some who are not pleased with this collaboration.
Both Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch Outfits are incredibly detailed, as they are based on real-life WWE superstars. The level of accuracy and effort put into designing these models is commendable. However, it is worth mentioning that these Outfits are not part of the Icon Series.
The initial backlash from a small section of the Fortnite community seems to stem from their disappointment that their desired WWE athlete, Rhea Ripley, was not included in the collaboration. Prior leaks led fans to believe that Rhea Ripley would be featured, and this may have contributed to the discontent expressed on social media.
It remains uncertain whether Epic Games will take note of this feedback and introduce Rhea Ripley into the game in the future. Collaborations of this scale require time and necessary legal procedures, so it could be months or even longer before Rhea Ripley joins the Fortnite metaverse, if at all. For now, fans will have to enjoy the Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch Outfits as part of the Fortnite x WWE collaboration.
