North Beach Games and Free Range Games have announced the release date for their upcoming game, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. The game will be launching on October 24 for the PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. It will also be coming to the Xbox Series X|S in early 2024.

In The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, players will join the Dwarves as they embark on a quest to reclaim their lost home of Moria beneath the Misty Mountains. Led by Lord Gimli Lockbearer, a company of Dwarves will delve deep into the mines to recover the treasures and spoils that were left behind. The game is set in a procedurally generated Dwarven realm, ensuring that each adventure is unique.

Survival is key in the treacherous Mines of Moria. Players will need to conserve resources, hunt for food, and manage their sleep, temperature, and noise levels to stay alive. Dynamic light systems will provide safety and guide players deeper into the darkness. Along the way, they will face countless dangers, including monstrous Orcs and other unspeakable evils.

Base building is another important aspect of the game. Players can reveal and clear new locations to construct grand architecture. They can even rebuild the ancient kingdom of Khazad-dûm and resurrect old mines and forges. Crafting plays a crucial role, with players able to create legendary Dwarven armor, weapons, and structures.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria also features co-op multiplayer, allowing players to adventure with friends and experience the game together. The customization options for Dwarven characters are extensive, allowing players to create their own unique identities.

With its immersive gameplay, rich lore from J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world, and a wealth of features and content, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is shaping up to be an exciting and thrilling gaming experience for fans of the franchise.
