The Next Fortnite Update: Early Patch Notes

The next Fortnite update is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, September 12. This update will mark the first major update of Chapter 4 – Season 4. While a smaller update has already been released in the season, the upcoming update is expected to bring significant changes to the game.

Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, has not yet revealed the exact release time of the update. However, based on previous updates, it is likely to come out around 4 AM Eastern Time.

One of the key aspects of this update will be gameplay changes. Leaks and confirmations from Epic Games suggest that new Reality Augments will be introduced. Some of these Augments, such as Revamped Siphon (heals for every shot) and Ninja Training (increased movement speed while crouching), have already been released with a content update on September 6. Others, like Farm Fresh (extra healing from farming items) and Marksman Crit (increased headshot damage with DMR), are expected to arrive in the v26.10 update.

In addition to gameplay changes, the update may also include the introduction of new items. A new DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) and Pizza Party, both seen in the trailer for the new season, could be unvaulted and added to the game.

Epic Games is known for its collaborations with other franchises, and it is rumored that there may be a new collaboration released with this update. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.

Map changes are also expected with major updates, so players can anticipate minor changes to the Fortnite map on Tuesday.

The update will also bring new cosmetic items. Super Styles for Battle Pass skins are likely to be introduced, as Epic Games has traditionally released these extra styles with the first major update of each season. Additionally, players may look forward to unlocking extra items for Ahsoka Tano, a bonus skin in this season's Battle Pass. Other cosmetic items will also be released in the Item Shop later in the season.

Bug fixes are an essential part of any update, and Epic Games has been working on addressing known issues in Fortnite. Some of the bug fixes that players can expect in the upcoming update include resolving issues with auto-run while alt-tabbing, fixing a bug with the vault case that prevents players from picking up weapons, addressing progression quest bugs, and fixing various other issues.

With the release of the next Fortnite update, players can anticipate exciting gameplay changes, new cosmetic items, bug fixes, and possibly a new collaboration. Stay tuned for more information as the update approaches.
