Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered: A Valentine’s Day Gift for Tomb Raider Fans

Realtech VR's announcement in March 2018 about remasters of the original Tomb Raider trilogy left fans excited. However, disappointment followed shortly after when the project was canceled due to the lack of permission from Square Enix. But fear not, as an officially sanctioned remaster is now on the horizon.

During the recent Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered will soon be available on Steam. The remastered collection will feature the original games with enhanced graphics, giving players the option to switch back to the original look if desired. Additionally, the games will be optimized to run smoothly on modern hardware.

What sets the remastered collection apart is the inclusion of all the expansions from the Tomb Raider trilogy. Fans can look forward to experiencing “Unfinished Business” for Tomb Raider, “The Gold Mask” for Tomb Raider 2, and “The Lost Artifact” for Tomb Raider 3.

Despite being featured in the Nintendo Direct and on the PlayStation Blog, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is confirmed for PC, and avid fans can already wishlist it on Steam. Given that the original games were released in the late 90s, the system requirements for the remastered collection are not too demanding, making it accessible to a wide range of players.

Mark your calendars for February 14, 2024, as Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is set to launch. This release not only marks the revival of an iconic videogame trilogy, but also presents an excellent Valentine's Day gift option for all Tomb Raider enthusiasts.
