Vote for the Best Game of August!

Last month was an exciting time for gamers as various titles were released that pushed us emotionally, physically, and mentally. Which game moved you the most in August? PlayStation.Blog is giving you the opportunity to vote for the best new game released during this period.

At the end of every month, PlayStation.Blog opens a poll where gamers can cast their votes for the game they believe deserves the title. The poll is then closed, and the votes are tallied. The winner is announced on PlayStation.Blog, and PlayStation Store showcases some of the Players' Choice winners throughout the year.

What makes a game qualify for voting? It's entirely up to you! If you could recommend only one new release to a friend from that specific month, which one would it be? However, remastered or re-released games are not eligible for voting. Nonetheless, ambitious and impressive rebuilds and remakes like “Shadow of the Colossus” and “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy” are allowed.

So, how are the nominees decided? The PlayStation.Blog and PlayStation Store editorial teams compile a list of the most noteworthy releases of the month and use it to seed the poll. Additionally, write-in votes are accepted, allowing gamers to voice their support for games that may have been missed in the initial list.

Voting for the best game of August is a way for gamers to have their voices heard and recognize outstanding titles that have made a significant impact. It's an exciting opportunity to engage in the gaming community and celebrate the games that have moved us during this period.
