Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Xbox Version Release Date Confirmed

After being delayed indefinitely earlier this year, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will finally be released on Xbox Series X/S on October 4. The Xbox version of the game was originally intended to launch simultaneously with the PC version, but developer Fatshark encountered several issues and negative player feedback, leading to the delay.

Xbox Game Pass members will also be pleased to know that Darktide will be available on the service on its release date, offering players the chance to dive into the grimdark world of Warhammer 40,000 right away. The Xbox Series X/S version of the game will feature all the quality of life updates, fixes, performance improvements, and post-launch content that have been implemented in the PC version since its release in November 2020.

Additionally, Darktide's release on Xbox Series X/S will coincide with a major overhaul of the game's class and feat system. Players will now have access to talent trees, allowing for more variety in building their characters and making the experience more familiar to fans of Vermintide, another game developed by Fatshark.

While it has not been explicitly confirmed, it is likely that Darktide will support cross-play between Xbox and PC. The game already introduced cross-play between the Steam and Windows Store versions, so it is reasonable to expect that players on Windows and Xbox will be able to join forces as well.

Overall, the upcoming release of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on Xbox Series X/S is an exciting development for fans of the franchise. The game's inclusion in Xbox Game Pass will also make it easily accessible to a wider audience, further expanding the player base of this intense and gritty Warhammer experience.
