What Is Tyler1’s Net Worth?

Tyler1, also known as loltyler1, is a popular American YouTube personality and Twitch streamer. With a net worth of $12 million, he has gained immense popularity as one of Twitch's most well-known “League of Legends” streamers, boasting 5.3 million Twitch followers and 2.74 million YouTube subscribers. His YouTube videos have amassed over 555 million views.

The road to success has not been without its challenges for Tyler1. From 2016 to 2018, Riot Games, the creators of “League of Legends,” banned him from streaming due to his toxic behavior towards other players. This earned him the nickname “The Most Toxic Player in North America.” However, after being reinstated, his first “League of Legends” stream attracted a record-breaking 380,000 viewers on Twitch, marking the platform's largest concurrent viewership for a non-tournament stream at the time.

In 2020, Tyler1 signed a contract with T1, a prominent South Korean esports organization known for winning multiple “League of Legends” World Championships, to create content for them. This partnership further solidified his standing in the gaming community.

Tyler1's journey began in Missouri, where he was born as Tyler Steinkamp on March 7, 1995. He initially pursued a football career as a running back at Central Methodist University but eventually dropped out to focus on his streaming career.

His rise to fame in the “League of Legends” community came with his controversial behavior and repeated bans on over 20 different accounts. He gained notoriety for personal attacks and toxic comments towards other players. However, despite facing criticism from professional players, Tyler1 continued to attract followers and grow his streaming presence.

After Riot Games announced his indefinite ban from “League of Legends,” Tyler1 turned to streaming other games such as “PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.” He was finally unbanned in January 2018, and his return stream broke Twitch's record for the most concurrent viewers for an individual streamer, surpassing 382,000 viewers.

Tyler1's dedication and skill led him to achieve the highest rank in all five “League of Legends” roles by February 2022. Riot Games recognized his achievements by awarding him five “Challenger” medals.

In addition to his streaming success, Tyler1 organized the Tyler1 Championship Series, an online “League of Legends” tournament that attracted over 200,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch. He funded the prize pool, which started at $10,000 and later increased to $50,000.

On a personal note, Tyler1 met Macaiyla, an Instagram model and gamer, at the 2016 TwitchCon, and they started a relationship in February 2017. In March 2023, they announced that they were expecting a child. Unfortunately, Macaiyla had to undergo emergency surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy, causing them to lose their child. Despite the hardships, they remain resilient and plan to start a family once Macaiyla has fully recovered.

Tyler1's accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including the Streamer Awards for Best League of Legends Streamer in 2022 and 2023.
