What to Expect at Pokemon GO Fest Global 2023

Pokemon GO's annual GO Fest Global event is quickly approaching, and while seasoned trainers are eagerly anticipating the festivities, newer players may be wondering what all the hype is about. If you're a beginner, it's a good idea to do some research to determine if you want to participate in this event.

Despite recent events in the game that may have missed the mark, the upcoming GO Fest Global is definitely worth checking out. This event is known for its special raids, which introduce powerful Legendary Pokemon or alternate forms. In this year's event, players will have the chance to encounter and battle against Mega Rayquaza, a formidable creature that will take the spotlight. Additionally, there will be Carbink raids that players with access to Diancie will want to complete in order to obtain Mega Diancie energy and potentially Mega Evolve their Diancie.

Furthermore, Primal Raids will also make a return during GO Fest Global 2023, giving trainers the opportunity to catch Groudon and Kyogre and collect Primal Energy to perform Primal Reversion on them. Players will also have a chance to find the shiny variants of these Legendary Pokemon during these raids.

Before the event begins, make sure to stock up on potions and Poke Balls to be prepared for the battles and encounters. Potions are especially useful for keeping your attackers strong during raids, while Poke Balls are essential for catching wild Pokemon. It's also important to know the best counters for the raid bosses you'll be facing. For Mega Rayquaza, Ice-type Pokemon like Mamoswine and Galarian Darmanitan are recommended, while Water-type Pokemon like Mega Swampert are effective against Primal Groudon. Grass-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur can be useful against Primal Kyogre.

If you're interested in hunting for shiny Pokemon using the increased spawn rates during the event, consider stocking up on items like Incense and Lure Modules to increase your encounter rates.
