Bloodborne PC Port: Rumors and Speculations

Bloodborne, a highly-acclaimed PlayStation-exclusive game, was released in 2015 and sold over 2 million copies in its first year alone. Since then, PC gamers have been eagerly awaiting a potential PC port of the game.

One recent rumor suggests the existence of a fully finished PC port of Bloodborne. An insider on Twitter shared screenshots from the game's Wiki page, claiming they were taken directly from the PC port. These screenshots, contributed by an environment artist working for FromSoftware, showcased features such as oil urns and were named “SPRJ-win64,” indicating a debug camera was used. The screenshots also revealed content from the Fishing Hamlet, suggesting that the port included both the base game and its DLC.

While these rumors seem credible, it's important to note that most games, including Bloodborne, are developed on PCs regardless of their exclusivity to specific consoles. However, journalist Jeff Grub refuted the rumors in a podcast appearance. Grub stated that FromSoftware is currently focused on their highly anticipated game Elden Ring, and it is unlikely that they would divert resources to a Bloodborne PC port at this time. Furthermore, he mentioned that the intricacies of Bloodborne's code would make it a challenging task for other developers to create a successful port without close supervision from FromSoftware.

Although the desire for a Bloodborne PC port remains strong among fans, it seems unlikely to happen in the near future due to these factors. The popularity of Elden Ring and the complexities involved in creating a high-quality port may hinder any immediate plans for a PC release. Fans will have to wait and see if FromSoftware decides to revisit Bloodborne for PC gamers in the future.
