Former Evil Geniuses Assistant Coach Tony ‘Zikz’ Gray to Join 100 Thieves as Valorant Head Coach

According to reports from Blix.gg, Tony ‘Zikz' Gray, the former assistant coach of Evil Geniuses, is expected to become the Valorant Head Coach for 100 Thieves in the VCT 2024 season. Gray, known for his strategic expertise in League of Legends, had previously coached CLG and led them to consecutive LCS championships in 2015 and 2016. He then made the transition to Valorant in 2022, joining Evil Geniuses as their assistant coach.

Under Gray's coaching, Evil Geniuses achieved great success in the Valorant world, becoming the first North American team to win a Valorant World Championship by defeating Paper Rex in the Valorant Champions 2023 finals. However, on September 8, Gray announced his departure from Evil Geniuses on Twitter, expressing his gratitude for working with the team and his excitement for the next chapter of his coaching career.

Now, Gray is set to embark on a new journey with 100 Thieves, with a verbal agreement in place for him to join the organization as their new head coach. While he was unable to secure a championship for 100 Thieves in League of Legends, Gray will be aiming to bring home a title in Valorant.

The future of current coach Michael “Mikes” Hockom remains uncertain, but fans can stay updated on all the roster changes and rumors in the VCT 2024 rostermania hub.
